Information You Submit
A name or location entered in a search box passes to the third-party provider that operates it. This site does not store those query terms on its own systems. A message sent by email or contact form may be kept long enough to reply and maintain the exchange. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless a legal obligation requires it.
Automatic Technical Data
Standard server and analytics systems may record technical details when a page loads:
- IP address;
- browser name and version;
- device type, operating system, and screen characteristics;
- pages visited, time spent, and timestamps;
- the referring page or site, when available.
Cookies help measure use and support site features. Browser settings can block them, though parts of the site may then work differently.
How Data Is Used
Information may be used to run and secure the site, route search requests to the right partner, understand which pages are useful, diagnose errors, improve speed, reply to messages, and display advertising that may reflect general interests.
Outside Sites and Recipients
Links may lead to Sampson County release records, Sheriff and NCDAC pages, courts, federal locators, or outside search tools. Their policies control their collection and use. Advertising partners may track activity across sites on their own systems.
Personal data is not sold by this site. It may reach search partners that process a query, analytics providers, advertising networks, or law-enforcement and government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Has Limits
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no internet-connected service can promise perfect security or that a breach will never occur.
Adults Only
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Get in Touch page to request review and deletion.
Your Data Choices
Subject to applicable law and technical limits, a person may ask for a copy of data held about them, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. The request must include enough information to verify and locate the relevant data.
Changes to This Notice
This notice may be revised as practices or services change. A new version takes effect when posted with its updated effective date.
